Ariadne UK currently has more than 150 members, these come from a diverse range of organisations, including family foundations, individual donors, professional staff of large international foundations, social investment funders, corporate foundations, and hybrid funders – those who raise money, often publically and then use it to support grants for civil society. All members are united by their interest in social change and human rights,
It is currently the largest of the Ariadne satellites and hosts several events every year, including the annual Grant-Skills Day in London in the autumn to which it invites members of the Ariadne network from all over Europe and beyond. It also holds a winter film night, an annual networking dinner and a number of lunchtime and evening briefings.
Its members use Ariadne in a variety of ways, to convene events, to get issues they think are important in front of their colleagues, to expand their networks, to improve their skills and to support new members entering this field for the first time.
Ariadne UK is run by Jenny Oppenheimer who also works for the London based grant-maker – the Pilgrim Trust. If you are a funder and you would like to know more about Ariadne or to join us please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
