Maja Spanu is Head of Research and International Affairs at Fondation de France. She directs its research hub and manages European and international projects and partnerships. Before joining the foundation, Maja was a research fellow and lecturer at the University of Cambridge. During her career, she has worked on a wide range of issues from diversity and inequality in international relations to international conflicts. She has a specific expertise on post-war state building in the Western Balkans. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the European University Institute.
