Funding for Real Change website and toolkit launch

Funding for Real Change website and toolkit launch
June 22, 2022 Jana Stardelova

Over the course of the pandemic, more than 60 percent of foundations loosened restrictions and lightened reporting for grants. Now is the time to normalize good grantmaking practices across the sector and to ensure that civil society organizations & social movements are not deprived of the resources they need. Project-based giving doesn’t have to put organisations in a straitjacket – it can be done in a more flexible and equitable way.

This website offers a range of practices that we hope you can use to increase your impact and strengthen organisations for the long term by building more flexibility and trust in your grantmaking.

The new toolkit offers a list of tactics, resources, examples, and starting points to help funders make the shift towards multi-year, flexible funding. It is available in English, French, and Spanish.

Already practice flexibility and equity? If you are already doing this work, we would love to hear more about your successes and failures. Please get in touch. However, If you are a funder just beginning this journey, this website can be a guiding resource as you move towards more flexible and equitable practices.

Ariadne and EDGE Funders Alliance came together to create this website to support funders in their journey towards more flexible and equitable giving. The majority of the data on this site was developed by Humentum and MilwayPLUS, facilitated by BDO FMAand resourced by Funders for Real Cost, Real Change (FRC) Collaborative and the Ford Foundation.
